The Whale Day (July to November)
From mid July the whales are coming back from the Antarctic. They stay along our Cape shores until the end of November to calve, breed and mate in the warmer waters.
Come with us, and encounter these gigantic water mammals. Our tour takes you along the coastline from Gordons Bay to Betty's Bay, where we stop for a visit to the Harold Porter Botanical Gardens.
As the tour continues, you pass through the Hemel en Aarde (Heaven and Earth) Valley, where you have an opportunity for optional wine tasting at Hamilton Russel Vineyards (the most southerly wine estate in Africa) Once in Hermanus, the old seaside village renowned for land based whale watching, whales, galleries, markets and lunch await you.
We return to the city through the apple producing region of Elgin and over Sir Lowry's Pass.
